Experience
My college education and study abroad experiences in both Guatemala and Colombia have allowed me to master the Spanish language. I feel very confident teaching this subject and that of my native language English. I also completed a 6 month internship in 2010 as a bilingual tutor managing a class of adult students of the Hispanic community. I lectured on basic computer skills, Microsoft Office, Social Media, and English as a second language. I successfully completed courses in Political Science, specifically International Relations. This included Global Studies, American and Comparative Politics, Political Theory, Public Policy, War and Terrorism, International Policy and Ethics, and more. I excelled in several classes of advanced Spanish conversation, literature, composition and grammar. I have a true passion for teaching and helping the community which has stayed with me throughout my professional career.

I love to read books in English and Spanish of many subjects. I think it is a great way to keep the mind active and continue to learn and grow. I am also a big fan of going camping, dancing, swimming and soccer. I love an occasional action movie!
