University of Texas at Austin, Bachelor of Science in Applied Learning and Development with a minor in Spanish, GPA: 3.3 I am currently a certified teacher in grades Early Childhood through 4 in Bilingual Education and 1st grade through 6th grade in General Education.
Experience
I have tutored students at the elementary and middle school level since August 2000. I have also mentored students at the elementary and middle school level since August 2000. I have experience in test prep for the STAAR test in grade 3. I have been a certified teacher since August 2003 until now. I am currently a 2nd grade bilingual teacher in Hays CISD. I provide intervention for my students on a daily basis for my students who are having challenges in the general curriculum. I have experience working with students with dyslexia, autism and down syndrome. I read, speak and write Spanish fluently. I also have experience working with students in the GT program and providing them with extension activities/projects. I love to help children and have 3 boys of my own. My life is dedicated to children.

I am a very calm patient person. I work hard and I expect my students to work hard as well. I am a little reserved but I do like to be silly with my students and make them laugh. I am always respectful toward my students and their families. I believe in developing good relationships with my students and their families in order to build trust and confidence.
