Experience
I am an experienced classroom teacher and tutor. I hold a master's degree in Education, and prior to my graduate studies, I earned bachelor's degrees in Physics, German, and Biology. I am now a certified classroom teacher and have over 16 years of teaching experience. I now teach language and science courses for a private organization. However, prior to my current teaching position, I also taught math, English, phonics, reading, public speaking, and writing courses. I truly enjoy tutoring, and I enjoy meeting and teaching a variety of people. I strive to tutor every student using the teaching techniques that work best with their learning style. I often incorporate hands-on activities into my lessons, especially when teaching math and science, to make them more engaging and aid in the learning experience. When teaching language, I also incorporate various types of media, such as movies and music. I always remain very patient with all of my students, but I do like to ensure their lessons are challenging to help them reach their academic potential. I tutor a wide variety of subjects, including reading, writing, various sciences, German 1 through 4, public speaking, handwriting, and others. I also enjoy helping students prepare for the SAT test. Outside of teaching and tutoring, I enjoy working in my garden, reading, and getting into new adventures outdoors.
