Our schools are not set up nor capable of truly teaching each child individually so instead, all children are forced to learn in the exact same manner and in the exact same timeframe that the school district proposes. I have witnessed first hand how school can make or break a child and how I have been able to help many of those children. I made it my goal to teach to the individual child rather than the whole group; and it completely drained me. I chose to leave the public school arena, homeschool one of my kids and raise my youngest who just turned five. Now, it is time for me to re-embark upon my mission to try and help students but I prefer to do this in the form of tutoring/one on one.

Hobbies
Art and Illustration is something I do professionally and for a hobby. I do all types of artwork but my personal website is set up to create personalized pet gifts. I love animals and taught horseback riding lessons for years. I love documentaries and laughing I prefer working with elementary students because I was born to do so. I would not mind working with older students on writing or art, however. I love spending time with my kids and I have never had a problem relating to anyone for the most part. I have lived all over the world and thus, have a very good understanding of different cultures, people and ideas. I have a daughter and a son with adhd so I am a pro when it comes to that one plus being an inclusion teacher; I have a strong knowledge base and experience working with special needs children of all types. I have never had an issue with behavior problems nor have I had a single parent complaint during my professional teaching career. Not because i am the most perfect teacher but more so, because I truly was in it for the kids not the system. I love working with children who think learning is boring...because I can change that. I also love working with special needs kids; because I think they are underrated. I specialize in writing, reading, art and self-esteem. I plan on becoming a child counselor and combining this with animal therapy. I just love kids and miss being a teacher....I don't miss, however, the system of teaching for a "test" instead of teaching for THE CHILD.
